VDA Series 700

The Series 700 is more a result of constant technological improvement of TEREX Roadbuilding. The VDA 700 (Wake) and VDA 721 (tires) are vibro finishers of large and power, providing high performance and high production capacity, not opening hand of precision in finishing and reliability characteristics of the brand TEREX.

Designed to work with Tamper, a device that ensures excellent pre-compression, homogeneity and a more flat surface and well finished, the vibro Bulletin 700 finishers are extremely resistant and quick. These are the tools most suitable for enterprises of robust dimensions, such as roads and airports, which require high productivity with quality.   • Hydrostatic Transmission

  • Drive

    • VDA 721
    • Load distribution on three axles - ensures good stability for the equipment and a better load distribution.
    • 1300 x 24 tires - ensure a larger contact area with greater traction strength. Low replacement cost and high availability in the market.
    • Equalizer-type front wheels - 500-mm (20") diameter double wheels and a 230-mm (9") tire width with 85 Shore A hardness. Hydraulic cylinders controlled by the operator's steering wheel do the directional steering.
    • • Wheels are equipped with a cleaning system.
    • Extremely short turning radius due to the adjustment of the differential turn between the wheels.
    • • VDA 700
    • Truck with D4 traction system - proven durability in heavy-duty services, it provides superb performance in traction and displacement. The truck is equipped with polyurethane shoes.
  • Asphalt Conveyors

    • • Two mix conveyors and two screw conveyors, each with their own individual motors - a total of four motors, each individually actuated.
    • • 600 mm (1'.11.5/8")-wide mix conveyors.
    • Independent floodgates with flow regulators
    • Four electromechanical sensors to control the volume of asphalt mix on the compacting screed located at its center and sides.

  • Steering Control

    • Excellent driveability and operational comfort - hydraulic steering with oil flow adjustment to the equalizing cylinders.
    • • Controlled by operator's steering wheel.
    • Forward hydraulic pedal - controls the equipment's forward speed.
    • Automatic preset system - work speed and applications.
    • • VDA 700
    • • Steering unit by means of a hydraulic joystick with control valves that actuate directly on the hydraulic motors by varying the oil flow.
    • • Operator uses the joystick for steering the equipment.
    • Automatic preset system for work speed and applications - this system makes it possible to adjust the work speed so that it is interconnected with the other essential operational functions such as vibration, floatation, and actuation of the conveyors in order to ensure a condition of uniform work.
  • Control Station

    • • Control station, seat, and canopy can all be slided sideways on tracks. The dislocation is very smooth and gives options for various positions for working.
    • • The control station has a side dislocation of 30 cm (12") out from the machine that gives the operator a better vision of the work.
    • Great vision of the area, completely free of obstacles.
    • • Individual canopy with height adjustment.
    • Rotating beacon light as required by traffic norms.
    • • Access stairs and guardrails at the control station ensure the operator's safety.
    • Extendable illumination system - offers perfect visibility of the road and alignment. Covers the front and rear part of the equipment at the same time.

  • Control Panel

    • • Complete panel with all of the controls and instruments required for the equipment's operation, such as:
    • - Pressure Gauge: indicates the pressure of the hydrostatic system, also serving as an indicator of the correct operation of the truck/paver set.
    • - Function Indicator: shuts down due to low oil pressure, battery failure, high water temperature, and return filter blockage.
    • - Tachometer, hour meter, fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure of the diesel engine.
    • Functions: starter, stop button, indicator light of the neutral for the hydrostatic system, screw conveyor switch, flotation switch, up and down of the screed, opening and closing of the screed, work lights and warning lights, opening and closing of the mix hopper, control of the vibrators, pavement thickness control, speed control (high/low), horn, diesel motor accelerator, and forward and reverse transiting.

  • Hydraulic System

    • • Two gear pumps for driving the motors of the mix conveyors independently.

  • Hydraulic Tank

    • Option with a RB 75 screed - paving width from 4.10 (13'.5.13/32") up to 7.5 meters (24'.7.9/32").

  • Flotation System

    This system releases the weight of the screed so that it “floats” over the asphalt concrete with the lowest angle of attack as possible, favoring the perfect paved surface finish as well as improving the traction and the response time to changing the thickness applied.

    With the floating system, the paving thickness is adjusted by the inclination of the screed in relation to the ground (angle of attack), increasing or reducing the layer of pavement.

    • Main advantages:
    • Better surface finish.
    • Greater uniformity of the pavement thickness.
    • • Contributes to a greater pre-compaction level.
    • • Makes it possible to work with all paving thicknesses, from 15 mm (19/32") up to 300 mm (11.13/16").
    • • Provides the option of the equipment to adjust to different types of mixes, especially low-density mixes such as soil-cement.
  • Dual Concept System

    • • This exclusive system makes it possible to change the traction system from tires to crawlers, or vice-versa, in only two days.
    • • The chassis of the equipment is one and adaptable, which makes it possible to receive both traction by crawlers and traction by wheels.
    • • Its single hydraulic system simply requires the substitution of the positive traction, installed on the machines with tires, for a differential flow valve, installed on the machines with crawlers.
    • • The steering system needs the steering wheel installed on the machines with tires to be replaced for a hydraulic joystick installed on the machines with crawlers.
    • • The tire traction system, made up of rear tires and front dual wheels, is substituted for trucks or vice-versa.
  • Automatic Systems of Operation

    • Preset System - interconnects all of the essential functions of the equipment, ensuring maximum paving quality.
    • Screw conveyor system linked to the floatation of the screed - makes sure that the floatation system is always on when the machine is in operation.
    • The signals of the electronic grading system are blocked when the machine is in neutral, awaiting more mix or on standby.
    • The parking brake is automatically actuated when the equipment is put in neutral.
