Trimak Engenharia e Comércio Ltda., a company specialized in sales, machinery and equipment leasing, pieces and technical assistance services for heavy construction companies, has inaugurated its first distribution unit in the state of Minas Gerais. Located in Contagem, Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (RMBH), the unit will be one more Terex Roadbuilding Latin America distributor and will consolidate Trimak Engenharia as one of the largest dealers of the company in the Southeastern region of Brazil.
Trimak headquarters in Contagem is installed in a 7-thousand square meter lot and, only for the purchase of stock equipment, R$ 5 million have been invested. According to Terex Sales, Marketing and Post-Sales Director, Gilvan Pereira, the distribution unit has been conceived to meet the great demand from clients in the state, such as Andrade Gutierrez, Mendes Júnior, Fidens Engenharia S/A, Construtora Mello Azevedo S/A and Construtora Aterpa S/A.
“Minas Gerais is one of the fastest-growing regions in the country, considering the 12.2% GDP expansion in the state in the first term, above the national average (9%). The state's market houses the largest contractors in the country and, thus, it was our obligation to open a distribution unit in order to better serve our clients. Furthermore, along the next years, Brazil will turn into a construction site due to the Growth Acceleration Program (GAP) and international events such as the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics', he said.
Actuation areas - Despite actuating in different areas of the infrastructure sector, the road pavement and construction segment is the main activity offered by Trimak. In the director's opinion, the Program for the Pavement of Road Connections and Accesses (ProAcesso) has been vital for the business expansion in Minas Gerais. “The main clients of Trimak are involved in some project of the state government.'
The group estimates eight more distribution units will have been created by 2012.
